Nostalgia

Program note Nostalgia for solo flute is about expression of nostalgic sweetness of my country, South Kroea, from deep in my heart with western instrument.This piece would give some ideas of Korean exoticism to people in different culture. Nostalgia consists of three main musical ideas, which are korean traditional scale, Pyoung-Jo is based on C-D-F-G-A, and improvasational slow to fast- rhythm, which refers to a part of korean folk rhythm, and contrast phrases of vertical and horizontal motions, which sometimes gives peacful moment and active freedom.
